Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Key Holder to support the store leadership team and deliver an outstanding shopping experience for fans. You’ll help train new sales staff and ensure the merch fans love is available.

You’ll train and coach new Sales Associates, assist with store operations and merchandising, and work toward meeting sales targets in a fast-paced music and pop culture retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service and selling abilities.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with leadership abilities.
• Physical ability to stand/walk and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
• Step in and step up when needed and help run the store in the manager's absence.
• Understand store sales plan and drive KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Cover the sales floor and participate in opening/closing procedures.
• Operate the register and perform add-on sales while communicating shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Assist with planogram changes and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Support store operations and maintain stock room organization.
