Job summary

Luminary Hotel & Co is seeking a Server Assistant to support dining experiences with gracious, professional service in line with hotel standards. You will work across The Lobby Bar, Pool, Upstairs Bar, and In Room Dining, greeting guests and assisting servers as part of a high-performing team.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to use tablets, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher.
• Previous hospitality / serving position preferred – minimum one year Server Assistant, Back of House, or Food Runner in greater Tampa Bay area preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to use technology, e.g. tablets.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of beverages including liquors and wines.
• Serves guests in an efficient, courteous manner following the proper steps of service.
• Runs food and assists servers at The Lobby Bar, Pool, Upstairs Bar, and In Room Dining.
• Set up tables with salt, pepper, cutlery, glassware, and dishware.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at assigned station.
• Upsell menu items to guests during service.
• Assist with cash handling and explain shortages or overages.
