Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking enthusiastic Guest Room Attendants to uphold Autograph Collection standards by keeping guest rooms spotless and replenishing minibar items.

You will work with the Housekeeping team to ensure fast, friendly service, respond to guest requests, and help maintain common areas, while adhering to safety and confidentiality expectations. Prior cleaning experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality or hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn hotel technology platforms quickly.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned hotel rooms daily.
• Replenish minibar and in-room amenities.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Manager.

• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping storage and carts.
• Perform turndown service as requested.

The Guest Room Attendant will be responsible for the overall room cleanliness as well as replenishment of mini bar amenities to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Autograph Collection standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging and Development.

What you have

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Previous hospitality experience
• Prior experience in a cleaning position
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, iPads
• Organizational skills
• Proven experience in working quickly and efficiently
• Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision
• A sense of ownership in everything that you do

What you'll do

• Clean and sanitize assigned hotel rooms to include: dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning windows, mirrors, cleaning bathrooms, vents, lobby areas, walls, carpets, and common areas within shift time requirements
• Replenish amenities within guest rooms, including toiletries and minibar
• Report any technology, maintenance, or room ware issues to Housekeeping Manager
• Interact with all hotel guests in a professional matter; assist as needed and share hotel knowledge
• Assist guests with any special requests, including amenities or any room ware needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the housekeeping office and storage area. Ensure carts are cleaned and restocked daily
• Perform turndown service as requested by guest
• Report any suspicious activity, unusual items, or irregular behavior
• Review daily board and refresh stay over rooms
• Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
