Job summary

Summit Health in New York, NY is seeking a Scribe Tech to document patient visits in the EMR and assist physicians with basic care and procedures. The role requires attention to detail and strong communication in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

This seasonal position offers exposure to CNA/MA/EMT pathways and a path to more advanced medical training. Training will be provided, with a 8-12 hour shifts and weekend availability. Salary is position-based with industry-competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certification is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Strong English language skills in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate, detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Direct patient flow, manage inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide excellent patient service following established protocols.
