Job summary

The Children’s Place in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and delivering excellent customer service. You will maintain product knowledge, assist customers, and help drive sales with effective selling techniques.

You will also keep merchandise presentation, stock levels, and backroom organized while following safety procedures. A high school diploma and prior retail experience are preferred; you must be 18+ years old.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, evenings and call-in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap; educate customers on PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards of presentation, signage, and display.
• Support and maintain a neat, clean stockroom; adhere to safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Contribute toward store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock as needed.
