Job summary

The Royal Standard in Metairie, LA, is hiring a Seasonal Sales Associate for the Lakeside store. This part-time seasonal role runs October through mid-January with no guaranteed length of employment beyond the season.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling transactions at the POS, stocking, pricing and monogramming merchandise, and keeping shelves tidy while meeting store sales goals. Training provided.

Summary:

The Seasonal Sales Associate specializes in excellent customer service and sales. Responsibilities include assisting the customer with any retail related needs while providing a positive shopping experience, general point of sale processing, stocking and tagging merchandise, straightening shelves, monogramming merchandise, and much more!

This position is a part-time, seasonal position that will be active between October – Mid-January. There is no guarantee of length of employment or continued employment after season ends.

Essential functions:

• Initiating and developing customer relationships, and resolving customer service issues in a timely manner
• Working a register to tender sales
• Motivated to reach or exceed store sales goals
• Following store policies and procedures
• Merchandise displays, signage, and cleanliness, and overall store appearance
• Maintaining inventory and store supply levels
• Tagging merchandise correctly
• Ensuring required store opening and closing duties are complete
• Monogramming merchandise on the monogram machine or by adding a vinyl
• Communicating with and assisting co-workers with any operations of the store
• Additional responsibilities may be added at any time

Ability to stand or walk 90% of the time

Ability to frequently move boxes weighing up to 35 pounds across the sales floor

Required education and experience:

• Sales and Customer Service oriented
• Professional, Friendly, Diplomatic, Motivated, and Proactive
• Creative, Organized and Detail Oriented
• Excellent Communication Skills, especially Verbal
• Computer Literate – POS software, Microsoft Excel and Word, email
