Job summary

Michaels, a leading craft retailer in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a team member to deliver friendly customer service and efficient checkout experiences in-store. You will assist shoppers, handle cash, and help customers enroll in rewards programs while supporting omnichannel services like BOPIS and SFS.

The role involves stocking, merchandising, and following SOPs to keep the store well-presented, in-stock, and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards programs and enrollments; cross-sell as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Educate customers on rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; enroll customers.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) duties.
• Maintain store recovery, merchandise returns, and in-stock conditions.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Interact with customers and team members professionally and respectfully.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
