Job summary

Michaels stores seek a team member to support store operations in Charlottesville, delivering friendly customer service, assisting shoppers, and processing fast checkouts. You will help customers locate products, enroll them in rewards programs, and support omnichannel tasks such as BOPIS and SFS while maintaining stock and planograms.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting, and moving through the store, with a focus on safety and accuracy in cashier duties.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Willingness to engage customers about rewards programs and private label cards.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards program enrollments and private label card enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys and participate in omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
• Assist with truck unload, stocking and planogram execution.
• Maintain stock and store recovery to ensure an in-stock, well-merchandised store.
