Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Avon, CT is hiring a seasonal service team member to help customers, stock merchandise, and operate the checkout area. You will assist with truck unloading and planogram compliance while supporting store recovery and safety programs.

This part-time role requires standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and early mornings as needed. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with opportunities to participate in

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop, including locating products and providing solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards
• Assist with truck unloading and merchandise duties, including stocking and planograms
• Engage customers on rewards programs and private label credit cards and enroll them as needed
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes
• Participate in in-store recovery, shrink and safety initiatives
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
