Job summary

Michaels Stores in Alexandria seeks an in-store associate to assist customers, process purchases, enroll them in rewards programs, and support omnichannel functions such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

The role involves unloading trucks, stocking, and ensuring shelves are well-merchandised while delivering friendly service in a climate-controlled retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience with accurate cash handling.
• Engage customers on rewards and private label credit cards and enroll them.
• Assist with omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Unloading trucks and stocking merchandise; maintain planograms.
• Uphold store recovery, in-stock levels, and SOPs to ensure a clean, well-merchandised store.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
