Job summary

Michaels in Houston is seeking a Store Associate to help customers, stock merchandise, and process transactions in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers in locating products, explain store programs, and support online order pickup and ship-from-store processes.

This role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy at checkout, and teamwork across departments. Candidates should be comfortable standing for long periods, able to lift boxes, and follow SOPs while maintaining

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and enroll them in Private Label Credit Cards
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain store in-stock condition and recovery, including returns/go-backs
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies
• Interact with customers positively and professionally; be a role model for team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
