Job summary

Michaels in DeKalb, IL is hiring a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers throughout the store. You’ll handle checkout with accuracy, promote the Rewards program, and participate in truck unload, restocking, and planogram duties to keep the store well-merchandised and in stock.

This role requires standing for long periods, some lifting, and availability for nights, weekends and early mornings. Must be at least 16 years old. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and reach high shelves.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Ensure merchandise recovery and maintenance, including return/go-back process and in-stock store.
