Job summary

Michaels Stores in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout experience. You will assist with stock, returns, and store recovery while supporting omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.

The role requires standing for long periods and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Experience in retail or customer service is preferred, and candidates should be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the benefits of loyalty programs and enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and go-backs
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies
• Interact with others in a positive, respectful manner; be a role model for the team
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
