Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is hiring a Retail Team Member in Bakersfield, CA to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure fast checkout. You will help customers locate products, handle cash, and promote rewards programs.

This role supports store operations, including stocking, merchandise recovery, and following SOPs. Eligible team members may access benefits such as medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with employer match, employee discounts, and more.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go backs and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
