Job summary

Michaels Stores in Smithfield, RI is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout. You will participate in stocking duties and keep shelves in stock and well-merchandised.

The role covers omni-channel tasks such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store, plus merchandise recovery, planogram compliance, and safety procedures. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and enrollments
• Educate customers on VOC surveys
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
• Maintain store recovery and merchandise return/go back processes
• Perform in stock optimization and set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; interact respectfully with staff and customers
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
