Job summary

Michaels is seeking team members for our MACHESNEY PARK, IL store to deliver friendly customer service and a fast checkout experience. You will assist shoppers, participate in truck unloads, stocking, and planograms, and help customers enroll in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the return/go back process and store recovery
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company programs; comply with laws and policies
• Interact with others in a respectful manner; promote company values and be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
