St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, and evaluate outcomes as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires 2 years of RN experience, ADN with BSN preferred, Texas RN license or Compact license with 90 days, BLS and PALS certification. Seasonal status with 72 hours per pay period during the season; ends March 31, 2027.

Qualificações

• 2 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN
• Experience in an acute care setting – preferred
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
• If ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years from date of hire
• Current State of Texas RN license or Compact RN license (Compact license must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification – preferred
• Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification – preferred

Responsabilidades

• Perform and document patient assessments at the time of admission
• Create a plan of care including discharge plans and revise based on patient response
• Document outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses
• Ensure physician orders are noted and correctly transcribed
• Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments
• Keep physicians and supervisors aware of significant information regarding the patient and family
• Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
• Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
