Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, seeks a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse.

You will perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and educate families about care and treatments in a fast-paced PICU environment. Requirements include 2 years RN experience; ADN required with BSN within 5 years. TX RN license, BLS, and PALS are required; CCRN/CPN are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Experience in an acute care setting – preferred.
• ADN from an accredited nursing program; BSN – preferred; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments at admission.
• Create and revise plan of care including discharge planning.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses.
