Job summary

Eanes Home Services in High Point, NC seeks a detail-oriented Permit Specialist to manage permits, inspections, licensing documents, and compliance throughout HVAC installations. This seasonal role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM through January 31, 2027.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-driven, and able to support both customers and operations. Experience in permitting environments and strong communication are a plus.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in permitting, construction administration, project coordination, scheduling, or similar administrative roles preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills; able to work independently with operations teams.
• HVAC/home services or permitting environments experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and verify all license information to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Keep records of licensing documentation and renewal requirements.
• Develop a database of inspectors and permitting contacts.
• Obtain permits for HVAC and residential projects as required.
• Process permit payments and communicate permit numbers to subcontractors and internal teams.
• Track permit charges and allocate to jobs via PO and accounting systems.
• Verify duct testing and inspections are recorded in company systems.
• Coordinate inspections when projects are ready for the next phase.
• Review inspection results and facilitate re-inspections as needed.
• Schedule final inspections according to customer availability and jurisdiction rules.
• Document outreach efforts when inspections cannot be completed.
• Maintain notes and status updates in project management systems.
• Support teams with administrative and compliance tasks.
