Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a Store Associate in Suffolk, VA to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout experience. You will engage customers, assist with rewards program enrollments, and maintain a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, executing planograms, and supporting omnichannel efforts like BOPIS and SFS.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in-stock store conditions; handle returns/go backs.
• Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties; assist shrink and safety programs.
