Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is hiring for seasonal kitchen roles including Sous Chef, Line Cooks, and Utility workers. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure quality, and manage resources while aligning with resort objectives.

The position requires strong leadership, food-handling knowledge, and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include medical coverage, on-mountain housing options, ski passes, 401k, and employee discounts on dining and retail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of post-high school education; culinary education desirable.
• West Virginia Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Resort experience preferred.
• Proficient in knife handling and use of culinary equipment (ovens, grills, broilers, sauté pans, fryers).
• Knowledgeable in safe food handling practices.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop staff.
• Capable of working effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations, quality, and administration.
• Seek and respond to customer feedback promptly.
• Ensure resources meet business needs and comply with legislation.
• Control costs, improve profit margins, and meet targets.
• Maintain communication on menu items, promotions and events.
