Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the readiness of its seasonal tax office network. You’ll help offices be fully equipped, functional, and aligned with brand standards through hands-on operational, technical, and logistical support.

Working with District Operations Coordinators and TIAs, you will assist with openings, daily operations, and seasonal closures, install and maintain hardware, manage supplies, and ensure safety and compliance across multiple

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction with sound judgment in field-based environments.
• Able to lift/move office equipment up to 55 pounds or more with/without accommodation.
• Basic technical knowledge: setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office tech.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, seasonal role with a flexible schedule.
• Strong organization/prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices per schedules and standards.
• Perform office setup tasks including planogram, window clings, lightboxes, and brand compliance checks.
• Carry out custodial tasks to ensure clean, organized operations.
• Execute basic building maintenance such as changing bulbs, vents, minor repairs, and low-voltage work.
• Identify issues needing certified technicians and inform District Operations Coordinator.
• Install/remove/support PC hardware across multiple locations with guidance from DOCs/TIAs.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and document incidents in the case management system.
• Deliver supplies and materials between office locations in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory of district resources and equipment.
• Keep up-to-date technical knowledge of supported products and systems.
• Collaborate with district leadership and technology teams to meet readiness goals.
• Participate in required training and perform other duties as assigned.
