Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the readiness of our seasonal tax office network. You will ensure offices are equipped, functional, and compliant with brand standards by delivering hands-on operational, technical, and logistical support.

You’ll work with District Operations Coordinators and field leaders to open offices, manage daily operations, and coordinate seasonal closures, including hardware installation, inventory, and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions with sound judgment in a field-based setting.
• Ability to lift and move office equipment up to 55 pounds.
• Basic technical knowledge to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices according to schedules and standards.
• Execute office setup activities, including planogram implementation, window clings, lightboxes, and signs, ensuring brand compliance.
• Perform custodial tasks to keep offices clean, organized, and ready for operation.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as replacing bulbs, cleaning HVAC vents, and minor repairs.
• Identify maintenance issues and notify the District Operations Coordinator.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across multiple locations under guidance.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents and resolutions.
• Deliver supplies and manage inventory of district resources and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of supported products and systems.
