Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to ensure the readiness of our seasonal tax office network. You will support office openings, daily operations, and closures with hands-on operational, technical, and logistical assistance across multiple locations.

In this field-based role, you will install and service PC hardware, manage supplies and inventory, and coordinate with DOCs and TIAs to maintain brand standards and smooth office transitions.

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office technology.
• Ability to follow directions with sound judgment in field-based settings.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and ability to handle multiple tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices per schedules and standards.
• Execute office setup tasks like planograms, window clings, lightboxes, and brand compliance.
• Conduct custodial tasks to keep offices clean and ready for operation.
• Perform light maintenance (bulbs, tiles, HVAC vents, minor repairs) and address minor issues.
• Identify maintenance requiring certified techs and notify DOCs.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across locations with guidance from DOCs/TIAs.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents in the case management system.
• Deliver supplies and materials to and from offices in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory of district resources and equipment.
• Keep technical knowledge up-to-date on supported products and systems.
• Collaborate with district leadership and tech teams to support readiness goals.
• Participate in training and other duties as assigned.
