Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to ensure the readiness and brand compliance of our seasonal tax office network. You will assist with openings, closures, relocations, and window signage, while coordinating with DOCs and TIAs to maintain equipment and standards.

Responsibilities include setting up offices, custodial tasks, basic maintenance, PC hardware support, inventory management, and documenting issues in our case management system.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction while exercising sound judgment in a field-based environment
• Ability to lift and move office equipment weighing up to 55 pounds or more
• Basic technical knowledge, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office technology
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, seasonal role with a flexible schedule
• Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills; ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices according to schedules and standards
• Execute office setup activities, including planogram implementation and installation of window clings, lightboxes, and open signs
• Perform custodial tasks to keep offices clean, organized, and ready for operation
• Perform routine maintenance such as replacing bulbs, cleaning vents, and minor repairs
• Identify maintenance or facility issues and notify appropriate coordinators
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across multiple locations with guidance
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and document incidents and resolutions
• Deliver supplies and materials to and from office locations in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate inventory of district resources and equipment
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of supported products and systems
• Partner with district leadership and technology teams to support readiness goals
• Participate in required training and other duties as assigned
