Job summary

H&R Block seeks a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the open and closed office lifecycle across the seasonal tax network. You’ll install hardware, ensure brand standards, and coordinate with DOCs and TIAs to keep offices ready for tax season.

You’ll perform routine maintenance, manage supplies, and troubleshoot basic tech issues while communicating clearly with leadership and field teams. This is a fast-paced, field-based role with travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction while exercising sound judgment in a field-based environment.
• Must be able to lift and move office equipment weighing up to 55 pounds or more.
• Basic technical knowledge, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office technology.
• Flexible schedule in a fast-paced, seasonal role with travel between offices as required.
• Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with sound decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interact across levels and channels.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices.
• Execute office setup activities including planograms, window clings, lightboxes, and brand compliance.
• Perform custodial tasks to keep offices clean and ready for operation.
• Conduct routine building maintenance and minor repair tasks as needed.
• Identify maintenance issues and notify DOCs; escalate as required.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across locations with guidance.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents in the case system.
• Deliver supplies and maintain inventory of district resources and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported products and systems.
• Collaborate with district leadership and technology teams to meet readiness goals.
