Job summary

Crystal Mountain Resort in Washington seeks a Server to join the Summit House team. The role involves setting up service spaces, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency during operations.

Responsibilities include adhering to WA Liquor & Cannabis guidelines, upselling menu items, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. 2+ years in Food & Beverage and valid MST 12/13 permit plus state food worker card required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid M.A.S.T. Class 12 or 13 Permit (Washington state serving license)
• Must hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card (Health & Food Safety)
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in Food and Beverage
• Basic knowledge of POS systems

Responsibilities

• Set up for daily service including dishware, glassware, silverware, linens and other amenities according to daily procedures and Restaurant General Manager's direction.
• Serve food & alcohol within the laws of the Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board and Washington State Health Department.
• Clean equipment and serving utensils, as well as maintaining clean tables and server stations.
• Stock supplies and prepare backups as appropriate.
• Establish pre-function side work to be performed and ensure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition.
• Use and understand Points of Sale.
• Know the menu and be able to explain major ingredients, preparation methods and pairings.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests by anticipating their needs.
• Serve and bus courses in a timely manner, checking in with tables often.
• Determine when a guest should not be served additional alcoholic beverages per state law.
• Resolve guest complaints within authority; refer to management when needed.
• Assist in resetting tables during and after service.
• Attend all staff meetings as required.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, food preparation, storage, and alcohol regulations.
• Develop and maintain an organizational culture and positive work environment.
• Represent Crystal Mountain with guests and community members.
