Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking a Baseball Assistant Coach for the Middle School for a one-year ancillary position. You will assist the head coach in organizing and administering the 5th and 6th grade baseball program, supporting skill development, athletic growth and character development to help students succeed in sport and life.

The season runs from March through June with flexible practice hours and a schedule of 14 games.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of successful coaching experience.
• Must know baseball techniques, rules and training theory.
• Ability to teach beginning and advanced skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with student athletes of varying skill levels.
• Demonstrates integrity as a role model for students.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with organization and administration of the 5th & 6th grade baseball program.
• Support student-athletes' skill development and athletic growth.
• Contribute to character development and classroom-like conduct during practice and games.
• Season runs March–June; practices hours are flexible; 14 games scheduled.
