Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks a Developmental 5th & 6th Grade Assistant Swim Coach for a one-year ancillary position at Middle School. In partnership with the head coach, the assistant will support student-athletes’ skill development, athletic growth, and character development, helping them succeed in sport and life.
Practices are held November to March, two evenings per week from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The stipend is based on experience and full-season commitment.

MHS is seeking a Developmental 5th & 6th Grade Assistant Swim Coach for a one-year ancillary position at Middle School. In partnership with the head coach, the assistant coach will support student-athletes’ skill development, athletic growth, and character development, helping them succeed both in their sport and in life. Practices are held between November and March two days per week (flexible) from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The stipend amount is based on experience and working the entire season.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of successful coaching experience, while also instilling high-quality character.
Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.
Ability to teach beginning and advanced skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire diverse youth. Experience working with lower income students preferred.
Ability to interact with student athletes at different skill levels in a positive and professional manner.
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) are required.
Demonstrated exceptional organizational and planning skills.
Candidates must demonstrate high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
