Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking Elementary School Sports Coaches for 3rd and 4th grades. This is a part-time, one-year ancillary position with two practices per week (approximately 80 hours).

Coaches will work with Boys & Girls Basketball (Nov–Feb) or Baseball & Softball (Mar–May). Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and coaching experience or collegiate playing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driver’s license required.
• At least 1 year of coaching experience or college-level playing experience.
• Knowledge of current coaching techniques, rules, and training theory.
• Ability to teach beginner skills while developing higher-skill athletes.
• Commitment to high achievement and to a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse youth.
• Ability to provide safe, structured skill development and playing experiences.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Uphold high ethical standards and be a positive role model.
