Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a full-time Scribe for our urgent care settings. The role captures detailed patient visits into the EMR and assists physicians with care while maintaining DOH compliance and high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and a compassionate bedside manner. BLS certification is required; bilingual skills are a plus depending on site. End date is 01/29/2027 with a pay rate of $18.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED, Undergraduate degree a plus
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• English language (speaking and writing) skills required
• Bilingual language skills preferred based on-site location
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (e.g., UA, EKG, labs)
• Ensuring DOH compliance of site lab and exam rooms
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site
• Maintain quick pace in fast paced urgent care facility for the duration of scheduled shift (8-12 hours)
• Facilitating diagnostic tests and referrals to medical specialists for follow-up care via Aftercare
• Communicating with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance
• Helping maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment
• Ensuring the site is fully stocked with supplies
• Providing compassionate care to our patients.
