Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Scribe for an urgent care setting. The role captures detailed patient visit documentation in the EMR and assists physicians with basic care and procedures.

The position supports patient flow, labs, and DOH compliance, with a focus on excellent customer service and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. English proficiency and BLS are required by hire.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; friendly bedside manner.
• Flexible schedule with weekends; ability to work in a fast-paced urgent care.
• Strong attention to detail; team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual ability preferred depending on site; basic computer skills; BLS certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Capture accurate documentation of visits in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Direct patient flow, inventory management and follow-up on labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance for site labs and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and imaging facilities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians by phone under guidance.
