Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Seasonal Scribe Tech for Bronx, NY. The role includes documenting patient visits in the EMR, assisting physicians with basic care, and supporting lab workflows in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, completion of a medical assisting program or phlebotomy training is a plus, and English fluency with strong communication skills. Training is provided, and weekend availability is often required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED, undergraduate degree a plus.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certification is a plus; training provided.
• Fluent English required; bilingual preferred based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (phlebotomy, UA, EKG, etc.).
• Capture accurate, timely documentation of patient visits into the EMR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and facilitate lab processing; maintain supplies.
• Support DOH compliance for site labs and exam rooms.
• Maintain fast pace in urgent care; ensure quality and patient service.
