Job summary

The University of Michigan-Flint School of Management is seeking a Seasonal CIT Laboratory Service Coordinator to coordinate daily operations and support instructional labs across the College of Innovation & Technology (CIT). This 10-month, full-time, non-exempt hourly role runs 40 hours a week from August 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, reporting to the Director of Laboratory Operations & Development.

Responsibilities include supervising prep attendants, supporting courses, providing immediate lab

Qualifications

• Two or more years of relevant experience in area of specialization.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with laboratory safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with common lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Functional Supervision: supervise prep attendants and inspect teaching laboratories; develop and update policies, procedures, standards for classrooms.
• Course Preparation and Support: set up labs for courses, maintain prep documents, update lab manuals with supervisor input.
• Operational Support: assist instructors and students with non-routine lab needs; perform inventory of spaces; create weekly prep task lists; assist with dishes, lab cleanup, chemical prep.
