Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to inspire customers at the store level, deliver a best-in-class service experience, and support daily operations. You will help drive sales through product knowledge, engage guests, and maintain merchandising standards.

The role requires 12–16 hours per week with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail experience and a customer-focused mindset are valued for success in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maintain product expertise by staying current on products and participating in available training.
• Actively engage customers, identify needs, and recommend relevant products or experiences.
• Maximize selling opportunities and promote add-on sales to grow store traffic and engagement.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, inclusive store culture and assist in onboarding new associates.
• Accurately process transactions using POS, manage opening/closing procedures, and replenish floors.
