Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at rural US summer camps. This on-site, live-in position covers daily culinary operations, staff oversight, budgeting, allergen safety, and ensuring high-quality, scratch-cooked meals for campers and staff.

The role runs May through September, 6 days per week, roughly 70 hours. It offers competitive seasonal pay, a performance bonus, and full room and board.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role.
• ServSafe Manager Certified (Allergens required before start date).
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to live on-site in rustic summer camp setting and work a 6-day/70-hour week.
• Maintain high sanitation standards per Health Department requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee culinary operations, portion control, scratch cooking, and timely service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health standards.
• Control inventory, place orders, and monitor budgets.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
