Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to inspire customers throughout their culinary journey. You will support daily store operations, deliver a best-in-class customer experience, and help drive sales through strong product knowledge.

You will engage customers, maintain brand standards, process transactions, and participate in opening/closing procedures. The role requires flexibility for a 12–16 hour workweek, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions.
• Promote add-on sales and support events that grow store traffic and customer engagement.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals, contributing to overall store revenue.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing store culture.
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions including sales, returns, and price checks using the POS system.
• Assist in daily opening and closing procedures, floor replenishment, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS (Mark Out of Stock), and RARs (Return Authorization Requests).
