Job summary

The Salvation Army in Springfield, IL is seeking a Kettle Assistant to support our Christmas campaign by coordinating kettle sites, routes, and bell ringing activities. You will help transport kettles, field inquiries, and ensure smooth operations for volunteers and paid ringers.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn our kettle management system.

Qualifications

• Must be of good moral character and able to interact in a friendly and compassionate manner.
• Pass pre-employment background inquiry and background motor vehicle check with valid license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; customer service experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate kettle sites and scheduling using Register to Ring platform.
• Assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Field kettle operation inquiries by phone or from sites and drivers.
• Ensure kettle issues are addressed with corps officers and sort kettle funds for bank delivery.
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned; local travel required.
