Job summary

The Salvation Army in United States (Illinois) is seeking a Christmas Kettle Driver to support the Seasonal Christmas Campaign by hauling Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations and interacting with the public in a friendly, compassionate manner.

This temporary role requires a valid driver's license, knowledge of local roads, and the ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with local travel required.

Qualifications

• Passion for fulfilling The Salvation Army mission and ability to present it to others.
• Pass background inquiry and motor vehicle check with a valid license.
• Proficient knowledge of roads in the designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment and donations to and from kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, badges, kettles and bells to Bell Ringers and collect at shift end.
• Conduct periodic site checks to ensure Bell Ringers are present.
• Secure monies at all times.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled at shift end.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with courteous conduct and professional communication.
• Maintain compliance with Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties related to Seasonal Christmas activities.
