Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Christmas Kettle Driver to transport Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. You will interact with the public in a friendly and compassionate manner, supporting the mission and ensuring smooth site operations.

This temporary, on-site role requires driving, site checks, and adherence to safety standards, with duties including securing funds and assisting with kettle maintenance across sites in the designated area.

Qualifications

• Passion for fulfilling the Salvation Army mission and ability to present it to others.
• Must pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver's license.
• Proficient knowledge of roads in the designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment (kettles, aprons, badges, bells, kettle stands, etc.) and donations to and from kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, badges, kettles, and bells to Bell Ringers and collect them at the end of each shift.
• Conduct periodical site checks to ensure Bell Ringers are present as assigned.
• Secure monies at all times.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled at end of each shift.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere through conflict management, courteous demeanor, and professional communication.
• Maintain compliance in The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm Certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned related to Seasonal Christmas activities.
