Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Christmas Kettle Driver to transport Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. The role requires interaction with the public in a friendly, compassionate manner and a strong sense of mission alignment.

Responsibilities include vehicle upkeep, securing funds, and supporting seasonal activities across designated kettle sites with local travel.

Qualifications

• Must be articulate in presenting the mission to others.
• Pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid license.
• Proficient knowledge of roads in the designated territory.
• High school diploma or equivalent; significant experience considered in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment and donations to kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, badges, kettles and bells to Bell Ringers and collect at end of shift.
• Conduct site checks to ensure Bell Ringers are present.
• Secure monies at all times.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled after each shift.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Maintain compliance with Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties related to Seasonal Christmas activities.
