The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Christmas Kettle Coordinator to lead the local kettle campaign, secure locations, schedule volunteers, and ensure accurate funds handling across multiple sites.

You will recruit volunteers, train workers, coordinate with store managers, monitor high-traffic periods, and produce reports. This full-time, non-exempt role requires strong organizational and communication skills and a commitment to the mission.

Qualifications

• College Degree preferred but not required.
• 2 years' experience working in a similar setting; analytics, sales, attention to detail, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to maintain highly confidentiality information.
• Reliable and dependable, resolving requests in a timely fashion.
• Possess excellent communication skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independent and as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and remain flexible as needed.
• Well versed with Microsoft Office Products, including Windows based platforms such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint with a demonstrated ability to create correspondence and maintain spreadsheets.
• Must have an appropriate driver's license and legally be able to drive.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for the preparation, management, and success of The Salvation Army Kettle program.
• Visit with all kettle locations before season starts and meet the manager and secure location.
• Scout out new locations, approach store managers and request the store as a new kettle location.
• Secure all necessary permissions to ring at kettle sites, including insurance certificates and corporate & property manager agreements.
• Schedule kettle workers and volunteers to cover peak foot traffic periods.
• Hire workers needed for a successful kettle season.
• Organize or support efforts to promote kettles through events and competitions.
• Provide orientation and training of kettle workers.
• Review kettle equipment and perform repairs or purchases as directed.
• Create daily and weekly schedules and manage payroll paperwork.
• Review daily reports and adjust kettle placement and shifts as needed.
• Escalate serious issues to the corps officer or DHQ as appropriate.
• Ensure money is counted and processed per policy.
