Job summary

Mountain Recreation in Eagle, CO is seeking enthusiastic ice skate instructors for the 2026–2027 winter season. Instructors will teach Learn to Skate USA curriculum, provide a safe, fun environment, supervise on ice, and assist with lesson planning and progress assessments.

Part-time, seasonal position from September through April; non-exempt with evenings and weekends, bilingual Spanish/English bonus and language test. Compensation is $25 per class with a $1/hour bilingual incentive.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learn to Skate or youth instruction is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Instructs Learn to Skate participants with emphasis on safety and progression.
• Supervises skaters on the ice during lessons and ensures a positive learning environment.
• Assists with lesson planning and tracks participant progress.
• Maintains equipment and facilities in good condition and reports issues promptly.
• Communicates clearly with participants, parents, and staff about schedules and programs.
• Acts as a Mandatory Reporter and follows safety procedures.
• Demonstrates proper skating techniques and provides feedback to participants.
