City of Troy is seeking a part-time, seasonal Rink Attendant for the Rink at Stine Community Park during the ice-skating season. The tentative 2026–2027 season runs from December 4, 2026 to February 28, 2027, with training beginning November 14, 2026.

The role involves supervising aides and cashiers, selling skate rentals and concessions, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining the rink environment. Candidates must be 18+, have a HS diploma, and be prepared for outdoor work in cold weather.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors, often in cold and snowy conditions.
• Become certified in CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire.
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct ice rink aides and cashiers who sell skate rentals and concessions.
• Monitor facility, handle trash disposal, and enforce rules to ensure safety.
• Direct ice rink activities, events, and maintenance.
• Perform daily inspections of facility to promote safety and cleanliness.
• Practice excellent customer service and preventative safety.
• Assist with pre-season start-up and post-season shut-down of facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
