Job summary

City of Troy is seeking a part-time seasonal rink attendant for the Rink at Stine Community Park during the ice-skating season. The tentative 2026-2027 season runs December 4, 2026 to February 28, 2027, with mandatory training starting November 14, 2026.

Position entails selling skate rentals and concessions, delivering excellent customer service, and assisting with pre-season start-up and post-season shutdown of the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen (including marijuana).
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

• As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including marijuana).

PREFERENCES

• One (1) or more years of customer service experience.
• One (1) or more years of sales experience.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid.

EVALUATION PROCESS

HOURS

Part-time, approximately 15-25 hours per week. Schedule and availability must be attentive to programming and customer service needs. Regular schedule includes three to four (3-4) days per week including morning, afternoon, evening, weekday, and weekend hours.
