Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Temporary Housekeeping Manager for The Knickerbocker in Times Square, New York. You will oversee the housekeeping department, maintain service standards, and balance guest satisfaction with budget controls.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate schedules, training, and safety procedures in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive hotel-related experience, or a 4-year degree, or a 2-year degree plus 1+ year experience.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Proficient in Windows, approved spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Balance and clear room status nightly; compare p.m. housekeeping with PMS reports.
• Lead, coach, and discipline housekeeping staff per SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with training standards and brand procedures.
• Prepare employee schedules and assist in payroll-related tasks.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping and laundry supplies and equipment.
