Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Senior Housekeeping Manager in New York to lead the Housekeeping Department, ensuring quality service and clean environments for guests while controlling expenses. You will oversee staff, training, safety, and inventory, and coordinate with other departments to uphold Highgate standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows and standard office software.
• Must be able to work long hours and handle physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests and complaints with courtesy and follow-up.
• Motivate, coach, and discipline housekeeping staff per SOP.
• Maintain a regular cleaning program and detailed checklists for each position.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping equipment and safety compliance.
• Manage large room turns and VIP room preparations.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and provide training on standards.
• Ensure public areas and guest rooms meet Highgate standards.
