Job summary

The Knickerbocker, part of Highgate Hotels, seeks a Room Attendant in New York to maintain pristine guestrooms and deliver attentive service. You’ll follow established cleaning standards and support guest comfort throughout shifts in a luxury Times Square property.

Ideal candidates are capable of physical work, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate clearly with guests and team members to ensure exceptional guest experiences. This is an hourly position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
• Complete pre-cleaning duties and restock supplies.
• Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep hallways and public areas clean and vacuumed.
• Restock housekeeping cart for next day.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Report missing items to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report maintenance repairs to Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
