Job summary

Shenandoah National Park is seeking a Host for seasonal work at Big Meadows Lodge and Skyland Resort. You will greet guests, seating them promptly and processing payments with a friendly, efficient approach.

Role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. ServSafe certification may be required and training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and people skills.
• Ability to work day, night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Excellent communication skills; able to count change and reconcile paperwork.
• Obtain ServSafe Certification per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant in a professional and timely manner.
• Follow seating and table rotation guidelines to manage flow and ensure prompt service.
• Know menu promotions and specials and assist servers as needed.
• Handle cash and major credit card transactions accurately.
• Keep host station clean, organized and presentable.
• Adhere to ISO, health and safety standards and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
