Job summary

Shenandoah National Park is hiring a Cook to support the Food & Beverage team at Big Meadows Lodge, Waysides, and Skyland Resort. The role focuses on preparing food per corporate recipes and standards, contributing to extraordinary hospitality for visitors during the seasonal window.

The position requires knowledge of kitchen operations, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong communication with diverse audience and teamwork.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Manager and Lead Cook to meet menu and guest service standards.
• Be a proactive, motivated team member delivering quality hospitality.
• Follow recipes and food safety procedures to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Complete required food/safety logs per company policies and regulations.
• Obtain ServSafe or State Food Handler certification as per policy.
• Adhere to attendance policies and ISO/Health & Safety standards.
